Although Wooden Ships began forming their unique sound only about two years ago, this two piece acoustic band's experience in music spans three decades. With that amount of experience added with the diversity of music backgrounds of its two members, its easy to see why fans and new listeners alike marvel at the sound this duo produces.
With Scott Stewart, a native of Louisiana, on vocals and lead and rhythm guitar come the sounds of Southern rock, the British invasion, and down home blues. Bill Booth, a St. Louis native, brings powerful, soulful vocals and guitar from his varied blues influences and rock'n'roll roots.
This combination of vocal harmonies and diverse guitar stylings played entirely on acoustic guitars produces a distinct sound unlike any band in the area, which explains their rapidly growing fan base. Be prepared for an experience that will span from the 50s to current music, from blues and country to rock, and from covers to original music.
